Of distinct knee gun form favored in the Middle East. Barrel with inlaid brass strips in geometric patterns with acid etching en suite. Small bone ramrod, probably the original given that it fits the ramrod channel and diminutive ferrule. Simple, crudely made lock with evidence of casting throughout. Plain buttplate, trigger guard, and sideplate, with bracket for sling. CONDITION: Good. Barrel is good with strong work, minor losses to brass. Lock is good, clean, with aforementioned casting flaws throughout. Wood is clean with some marks from handling and storage and a few minor chips. Mechanically fine, bore is good. Pieces like this were very popular in bazaars for tourists. Sling is of contemporary manufacture. EMW
