Kentucky flintlock rifle signed in script "S.F. BURNET" who worked in Youngstown, Ohio from 1805 to 1850. The Burnet Family has ties to Greene County, Pennsylvania. 41" octagonal .36 caliber rifled barrel with rifle sights, signed in script "S.F. BURNET" with engraved border. Commercial lock smith signed flint lock with single trigger control. Full curly maple stock with brass hardware including an engraved 4 piece patchbox with lid release in toe plate. Comes with hardwood ramrod. A hard to find rifle with ties to Pennsylvania and Ohio. CONDITION: Overall good with metal parts having some surface corrosion and turning a plum patina. Unpolished brass with aged patina. Stock has traces of original finish with some burnout around tang and repair around lock and back plate. Pitted bore with functioning mechanics. DLM
