P.38 manufactured by Mauser in 1944. The left side of slide is stamped "P.38" followed by "byf/44" and the serial number, with the right side bearing 2 "(Eagle) / WaA135" waffenamts on either side of a eagle firing proof. Barrel is blued, with remaining components being phosphate finished. Frame is mounted with 2-piece Polymid-6 grips. Matching numbers are present on the frame, slide, barrel, as well as the locking block. Pistol is accompanied by a reproduction "dvr / 43" stamped leather holster. CONDITION: Metal components retain the majority of their original arsenal applied phosphate and blue finish, exhibiting some edge wear showing through to silvering, as well as some spots of age related discoloration overall. Bore is bright, exhibiting moderate oxidation and strong rifling throughout. Grips are excellent. Holster is very good. MLW
