Made 1950. Company address marked on the right side of the slide. Left side is marked "COMMANDER / MODEL COLT AUTOMATIC / CALIBER .45" marked on the left side, all in front of a rampant Colt pony. "VP" proof on the left side of the trigger guard. "COLT .45 AUTO" marked on the top of the chamber. Standard blade front sight and u-notch rear. Factory blued finish on the metal components. Colt wood checkered plastic grips. Includes a period commercial model blued steel magazine. CONDITION: Metal retains 90% of its original finish with general wear and some handling marks. Grips are discolored, with light wear. Bore is shiny with crisp rifling. Magazine is excellent. JWA
