Italian Carcano boys rifle. Made for Fascist Youth Groups. "1940" dated on the chamber. Most of a Great Crest on the receiver ring. There is a strong cartouche on the left side of the butt. No import marks found. Scaled down sights derived from the M91 cavalry carbine. Folding spike bayonet inspired from same. Military blued finish, and oiled wood stock. Metal butt plate with trapdoor. CONDITION: Metal retains 60% of its original finishes, with most areas forming an even brown patina. Wood has handling marks and scratches. Hand guard is absent. Bore is heavily frosted. Mechanically operable. For blank cartridges only. JWA
