Made 1943. This gun retains its proper Smith Corona marked "4-43" dated barrel. Circled "P" firing proof on the wrist. Boxed "S.A." cartouche on the left side of the stock. Blade front sight with standard rear peep. Front sight retains its original protector. Most parts look to be Smith Corona marked. The stamped trigger guard is Remington production. Original parkerized finish, minus the bands, which are blued. Straight grip wood stock with no finger grooves. Wood has a light oil finish. Checkered metal butt plate with trapdoor for cleaning kit. CONDITION: Metal retains 85% of its original finish with light wear. Stock has handling marks and a few scratches. Bore is clean with strong 4 grove rifling. Muzzle gauges at a 1. Mechanically fine.
