Made circa late 1870s. "Keno" marked on the left side of the barrel. Serial number on the bottom of the barrel, matching that of the one found on the inside of the right grip. Half round, half octagon barrel with no sights. Nickel plated brass frame. Balance of parts are blued. Birdshead butt with walnut grips. Includes what looks to be the factory flat board box and a wooden cartridge box with 15 Peters marked cartridges. CONDITION: Metal retains 60% of its original finish, with more being retained on the frame. Barrel has turned an even gray patina. Grips are both cracked on the interior, with the exteriors having light handling marks. Bore is heavily frosted with pitting. Fair rifling retained. Hammer is tight, being mechanically fine. Barrel tends to wobble. Box has light edge wear. Cartridges have some minor corrosion. JWA
