Lot consists of (A) Early 1920's sepia toned USMC company photo of enlisted Marines and officer in center with German shepherd mascot. Marines are from the 5th or 6th Marine Regiment as indicated by the French fourragères worn on their shoulders. Clearly visible are the collar and campaign hat EGA devices. Image has excellent clarity. B) 1934 image of the Marine Corps League National Convention, taken in Denver, Colorado. Wonderful, and diverse study of WWI to 1930s uniforms, hats, shooting badges, EGA's, and medals clearly visible. Marine League canine mascot also pictured wearing his wool blanket. (C) Photo of Marine Corps League Third Annual State Convention, San Jose, California, July 1934. Wonderful image showing variety of Marine uniforms and insignia. Highlights are visible "droop wing" EGA variants, English bulldog mascot, blue pre-war style USMC flag, and a Civil War Marine with G.A.R. badge front and center. (D) Pre-WWI Marine Barracks, Paris Island, South Carolina "SEA GOING" Depot school image. Image shows entire company staff to include field, and company grade officers with Mameluke swords, musicians with bugles, and NCO's with visible seam-to-seam chevrons. (E) 2 Pre-WWI era images of Navy and Marine facilities at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. CONDITION: Very good, with normal edge splits to some. Exception are the Guantanamo Bay images that show numerous folds. All are suitable and solid enough to frame. PROVENANCE: Roger Bender Collection. BRM.
