AGS CERTIFIED #10315. DSP. An excellent displaying example of this scarce C. 1940's Porcelain Service Station Sign for Idaho Chief Gasoline showing outstanding Native American graphic. A product of Wasatch Oil Company, Salt Lake City, Utah. CONDITION: Side one is overall very good showing an excellent condition Chief graphic with no inner field chipping. Side one shows some minor stain markings in the Native American's Bonnet as well as some minor surface scratch and removable dirt markings. The outer field shows one heavier chip at the lower with some minor chipping at the upper. The outer edges show very light nicks and chips but overall displays excellent, (Score 86). Side two also shows excellent color & gloss throughout showing two minor chips in the upper as well as some minor areas of light stain. Side two shows a light chip at the lower outer field as well as a heavier chip at the top right edge. The mounting holes show only a minimal amount of wear with a few minimal edge chips at the bottom, (Score 85). An exceptional example of this elusive Sign from Idaho Chief Gasoline.
