Lot contains: (A) Early Third Reich SA dagger with a "E.P.&S., Solingen" marked nickel-plated steel blade with moderate runner and scattered marks, cross graining, and approximately a dozen shallow nicks. Dried grease on blade will clean up. Early nickel fittings exhibit a nice uniform patina with very light blemishes/ freckling. The SA Group mark "Nrh" (Niederrhein) is stamped on the lower fitting. Wood grip has very light wear, and both the SA eagle and emblem are original to the grip, with patina. The steel scabbard's anodized brown finish retains 60-65%, with moderate freckling and 3 shallow dings. Nickel fittings have uniform patina and scattered marks, and the lower fitting has quite a few tiny shallow dings. SA hanger is attached. CONDITION: Overall very good. (B) Luftwaffe 2nd model dagger with a "Ernst Pack & Sohne Waffenfabrik" and "Siegfried Waffen" marked blade with very light runner and scattered marks and freckling. Aluminum fittings are very dark, cross-guard is loose, white trylon grip is stained and 40% of the wire is loose. Steel scabbard is dark, with patina and light freckling throughout.
