DST. Sign is Maker Marked A.M. & Dated 1939. A very nice and early example of this iconic Tin Service Station Sign from Quaker State Motor Oil. CONDITION: Side one shows outstanding color and gloss throughout the field with only minor areas of light surface scratching but overall very clean and free of wear, Grade 8.9+. Side two also shows excellent color and gloss throughout the field showing only minimal surface wear with two areas of minor paint loss in the outer field, Grade 8.75. Sign shows both of its original brass grommets with a super clean outer edge. This is most likely a New Old Stock Sign and any wear has come from storage.
