SST. An absolutely incredible example of this very scarce Circa 1940's Tin Taxi Cab Spare Tire Cover Sign from Standard Gasoline showing a large Mickey Mouse graphic. Sign shows incredible graphic as well as colors and is mounted in a beautiful custom made frame that displays the piece perfectly. CONDITION: Sign is in overall outstanding condition and is one of the finest examples known. Sign shows outstanding color & gloss throughout the field showing a clean graphic. Sign shows some very minimal wear in the black enamel with one area of scratching in the ear graphic but overall excellent throughout. Sign shows some very minor wear along the outer edge but overall excellent. Sign is beautifully mounted in a custom frame which displays the piece very well and is not hiding any edge flaws. One of the finest examples we have ever sold in very tough to upgrade condition.
