US Naval Co. Inc. Doylestown, PA line throwing and harpoon gun. Serial BB499352, .45-70 Blank, 14" smooth bore barrel. The base firearm is a Harrington & Richardson "Re-enforced Breech" single shot break open shotgun used for their 10 gauge and smaller guns. The metal surfaces retain 99% original blue and case-hardened colors. The smooth oiled pistol grip factory walnut butt stock is excellent. The brown rubber factory recoil pad rates excellent with light wear. The smooth walnut factory forend also rates excellent with no denting. The attached cast aluminum is also excellent. This gun is housed in an 11" x 33 1/2" x 7 - 1/2" pine box painted red with brass hardware and corners. The lower compartment has a small built in storage box with sliding lid for cleaning supplies. The main compartment contains a double spindle line holder with bracket to attach to barrel containing line, 2 shot line canisters containing 600 feet of 140 pound test line, 3 wooden line rewinding spindles, 1 partial box of 17 rounds of WCC 45-70 line throwing M32 cartridges, 3 full boxes of Naval Co. Inc. Arms 45-70 M32 line throwing cartridges. The cover contains 10 brass line throwing projectiles, with 11 additional loose brass line throwing projectiles. CONDITION: Gun is excellent and functions correctly. Box is very good and solid. BRM.
