This is a very early embossed cardboard sign, copyrighted in 1890 by the John Merriam Company with the original brass tag. Image of a bulldog marked "Cegars." Marked on the back for the "A. H. Vilas Company of Chicago, largest framers of show cards in the World." CONDITION: Shows a light tear to the upper right-hand area, a scratch across the bulldog's right eye; other than those two pieces a great color and look for this very early cigar sign.
