Manufactured 1989 as per IK date code. Top rib with "HK SP 89" legend, serial number, German nitro proof, date code, and Ulm proof. Bolt carrier with "IJ" proof, German nitro proof. Left side of magazine well with caliber designation, right side with "Made in W-Germany / HK Inc. / Sterling VA" import mark. 2 position trigger pack. HK branded Pulse Beam Model 100 laser designatior, with appropriately cut forearm, and ARMS G3 series mount fit with a Laser Aim brand laser. 30 round banana magazine, II code for 1988. CONDITION: Overall excellent, retaining virtually all of the factory enamel finish with some minor marks from handling and use, mostly from STANAG magazine. Mechanically fine, bore is excellent with bright, crisp rifling; breech face is exceptionally clean. Neither laser designator works; Pulse Beam may need batteries but Laser Aim has no battery attached. MP5 sub guns are iconic, and this is a lovely early SP89. EMW
