DSP. Sign is Maker Marked Tennessee Enamel & Dated 1931. A brilliant example of this scarce Porcelain Service Station Sign from Shell advertising "Chassis & Motor Lubrication" in large block print with Shell colors. CONDITION: Side one is outstanding throughout showing near perfect color & gloss with just a minimal amount of light outer edge wear, Grade 9.25+. Side two also shows brilliant color & gloss with just a minimal amount of light surface scratch at the left and one very minor nick at the right lower mounting hole. Side two shows very minimal wear along the outer edge with a light nick at the lower center edge, Grade 9.0+. Sign retains all four of its original grommets and displays outstanding with excellent shelving between the colors. A rare piece of early Shell Porcelain Signage in very high grade.
