SSP. Very scarce C. 1920's Porcelain Sign for Shell Petroleum Products showing a large heavily fluted Shell graphic with "Petroleum Products" across the outer field. Sign was most likely used on an early Delivery Truck and is one of only a few known examples. CONDITION: Sign shows excellent color & gloss throughout the field showing a large Shell graphic with four areas of chipping as well as some faint surface scratching. Sign shows some minimal age fading in the gloss of the black but presents nicely giving the Shell a three dimensional type look. Sign shows an outstanding condition outer edge as well showing very clean Petroleum Products lettering with only a minimal amount of light nicks along the outer edge. A very nice example of early Shell advertising that rarely comes up for sale.
