SSP. Scarce c. 1930's porcelain sign from Shell Oil Company showing, "No Admittance No Smoking Or Open Flames." Sign features unique Shell colors as well as bold script. CONDITION: Sign is overall excellent throughout showing bright color & gloss with a chip free field. Sign shows nice shelving between each color with no notable field wear. Sign shows minor chipping at the bottom two mounting holes as well as some removable age staining around each mounting hole. The outer is also extremely clean with no notable wear. A very nice example of this scarce piece of signage from Shell.
