SST. Scarce and excellent displaying C. 1940's Tin Sign for Standard "Unsurpassed" Gasoline showing unique script with an excellent Mickey Mouse Graphic. This piece was originally used as a Spare Tire Advertising Cover for Taxis, marketed by Standard Oil Company. CONDITION: Sign is in overall excellent condition showing a clean field with only a minor amount of light surface scratching as well as some light brown age staining in the cream color. Sign shows some very minimal surface scratching in the outer field and shows an excellent Mickey Mouse graphic. Sign is professionally framed in a round frame done in gold that displays the piece extremely well. One of the finer examples of this sign we have ever sold.
