June 16, 1783 letter to the "Commanders at Lancaster" written by Maj Gen Arthur St. Clair in Philadelphia. Letter is regarding troops arriving from the Carolinas that will be quartered in Lancaster. Also mentioned are companies of artillery, Colonel Hampton's Regt and a Colonel Butler. CONDITION: Very fine with tiny foxing spots near left margin. BRM.
