Lot consists of: (A) Document from the New Jersey House of Assembly appointing 2 soldiers from the counties of Gloucester and Burlington to be Paymasters in the militias of their respective counties. Signed Maskell Ewing, Town Clerk. (B) 1778 dated letter from John Crane, Justice of the Peace, County of York, New Jersey, detailing soldiers of the Continental Army that need to be discharged for a variety of reasons to include "keeping a horse unwell." CONDITION: Fine with some light edge loss from insects with overall very faint foxing. BRM.
