DSP. Absolutely outstanding C. 1930's Porcelain Service Station Sign for Vico Motor Oils showing outstanding black, red & white Porcelain with the "Finest Quality" script at the top. A product of Utah Oil Refining Company, Salt Lake City, Utah. CONDITION: Side one is brilliant overall showing outstanding color & gloss throughout the chip free field showing unique script style with excellent shelving between each color. Side one shows only a few minor surface scratches as well as chipping along the lower edge, Grade 9.0+. Side two is also brilliant showing outstanding color & gloss throughout the field with no notable wear other than a few very fine surface scratches. Side two also shows minor areas of chipping along the lower edge that have been color matched in black so they are less distracting, Grade 9.0+. An absolutely brilliant condition and highly glossy piece, most likely the finest known example.
