Single Sided Wooden Sign. Sign is Maker Marked C & P Signs, Los Angeles. A very scarce C 1940's Wooden Service Station Sign from Signal Gasoline showing iconic Stop Light graphic with unique Signal colors & script. One of the finest examples of this Sign we have sold. CONDITION: Sign is in overall excellent condition throughout showing very good color with some minor areas of light surface scratching as well as a couple of minor crack lines in the plywood. Sign shows five small holes in the inner & outer field as well some minor color fading in the "GA" of Gas. There is also five smaller areas of light color matching in outer field but nothing overly distracting. Sign shows some minor chipping along the outer white banded border but nothing overly worn. Sign should improve with light cleaning if desired and is overall an excellent displaying example of this very rare piece from Signal.
