AGS CERTIFIED #10166. DSP. A rare and well displaying C. 1920's Porcelain Sign for United Motors Service showing early style Car graphic as well as "Two Chain" graphic advertising for Delco-Remy & Klaxon Warning Signals. CONDITION: Side one shows excellent color & gloss throughout the field with two areas of chipping in the upper field as well as chipping at the lower edge due to small nail holes. Side one shows some moderate chipping at the edges as well as chipping at each mounting hole but overall displays very well, (Score 80). Side two also displays very well showing excellent color & gloss with four smaller sized chips in the upper field, two of which have been color matched. Side two shows a moderate amount of surface scratching in the gloss as well as light chips at the nail holes of the lower edge. The outer edge shows areas of marker style touch up along the black edge and the mounting holes show moderate chipping, (Score 80). A well displaying example of this very rare and highly sought after sign for United Motors.
