AGS CERTIFIED #10237. SSP. A very rare and outstanding displaying C. 1930's Porcelain Service Station Lubrication Gun Rack Sign from Shell Gasoline & Motor Oils, showcasing the iconic die-cut clamshell shape and early red and yellow Shell colors. CONDITION: Sign is overall excellent, exhibiting very good color and gloss throughout. There are minor areas of light cloudiness in the gloss, as well as some faint surface scratching in the field. Sign shows minor chipping in the field at six of the mounting holes, along with some minor chipping at the mounting holes at the lower left and lower right. The outer edge of the sign is in excellent condition, with just minimal and light nicks from storage. Overall, the piece displays incredibly well, making it a highly sought-after and tough-to-find piece of unique Shell Lubrication advertising.
