Model 1882 Ordnance revolver manufactured by Waffenfabrik Bern. The left side of the frame bears the serial number "P21892" ("P" prefix indicating that this revolver was a private purchase) above above several Swiss proofs. Interior of frame, beneath the left grip panel, is stamped "S.I.G.". Major metal components are blued, while some smaller components including the trigger, hammer, ejector rod, and cylinder pin are strawed. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered brown plastic grips. Matching serial numbers are present on the frame, sideplate, cylinder, trigger, hammer, loading gate barrel, as well as on the ejector rod, with most matching number also exhibiting a matching assembly number of "2380". CONDITION: Very good overall, with metal components retaining the majority of their Swiss arsenal applied blue finish, exhibiting some areas of wear and thinning that show through to gray patina. Strawed components are excellent. Brilliant mirror bore, exhibiting strong rifling throughout. Grips show some smoothing and a couple scattered marks from handling and storage, but are otherwise fine. A nice example of a privately purchased Swiss Model 1882 Ordnance revolver.
