Lot consists of: (A) British World War I Medal bar named to Private William J. Noyes. The medals are nicely mounted, starting with his war medal impressed "20645 PTE. W.J. NOYES. DORSET. R.", Victory Medal impressed "20645 PTE. W.J. NOYES. DORSET. R.", and India General Service Medal (1909) impressed "5718860 PTE. W.J. NOYES, DORSET. R.". The IGSM displays the Malabar 1921-22 clasp, which is confirmed by included records. Throughout his service, Noyes is listed under the service numbers 20645, 0166, and 5718860. CONDITION: Light patina with scattered blemishes. good overall. (B) British WWI Medal bar named to Bishan Singh, who served as a Driver with the 23rd Peshawar Mountain Battery, Havildar in the 26th Mountain Battery, and Havildar in the Royal Artillery. Singh's medals consist of his India General Service Medal (1909) engraved in running script "289 Dvr Bishan Singh 23rd Peswr Mtn B.T.". with North West Frontier 1908 clasp, War medal impressed "289 HAVR BISHAN SINGH, 26 MTN. BATY.", and General Service Medal (King George V coinage head version) impressed 289 HAVLDR. BISHAN SINGH. R.A." with Kurdistan clasp. CONDITION: Medals exhibit a moderate patina with scattered blemishes. Good overall.
