The Queen's South Africa Medal is a British campaign medal awarded to who served in the Second Boer War in South Africa. The lot consists of: (A) Queen's South Africa Medal impressed in narrow sans-serif capitals to "2968 PTE E. BROWN, RL. DUBLIN FUS:". The medal displays the Transvaal, Relief of Ladysmith, Tugela Heights, and Talana clasps. Copy of records included. (B) QSA Medal impressed in narrow sans-serif capitals to "8144 PTE J. PRATT, VOL. COY DURHAM LT INFY" The medal displays the Laing's Nek, Transvaal, Orange Free State, and Cape Colony clasps. Copy of records included. (C) QSA Medal impressed in narrow sans-serif capitals to "CORPL: W.J. TREDREA. KIMBERLEY TOWN GD:" The medal displays the Defence of Kimberley clasp. (D) QSA Medal engraved in sloping serif upper and lower capitals to "283145. Sto. J. FAIRMAN H.M.S. TERRIBLE." The medal displays the Natal clasp. This is an early "Type B" medal with Britannia's wreath pointing towards the "R" in Africa and ghost dates of "1899-1900". Copy of records included. (E) King's South Africa Medal impressed in narrow sans-serif capitals to "28518 SAPR C. CARTER. R.E." The medal displays the South Africa 1901 and South Africa 1902 clasps. Copy of records included.
