Manufactured circa 1901-1910 in standard configuration for the "Remington Small Bore Military rifle" with 30" barrel chambered in 7mm Mauser, blade front sight, and 1902 type rear sight. Likely manufactured for exportation from the US to a South American country for military use. 2-piece walnut stock and forearm with military style buttplate. Complete with Remington Model 1914 Long Export Bayonet. CONDITION: Excellent, with metal assemblies turned a freckled gray patina over the original polish with remnants of a protective layer of varnish in some areas. Stock is in matching condition with scattered handling marks and small crack at bottom tang. Mechanically fine. Bore is bright with sharp rifling. Bayonet is excellent, mostly bright with freckling throughout. Scabbard is very good, retaining a slight majority of the thinning original bluing with a few dents. Blade fits in scabbard. Frog is pliable with tight stitching, with leather beginning to separate at bend near pommel.
