Model 1906 Luger manufactured by DWM for commercial sales. The receiver bears a "(Crown)/ B" and "(Crown)/ U" proof on the left, with additional crown over "B", "U", and "G" proofs present on the barrel and breechblock. Underside of barrel bears a barred shield inspection mark, with the underside of the receiver bearing a crowned "BNP" British Birmingham import proof followed by an encircled "K 8/ 2". Toggle bears the intertwined "DWM" monogram. Major metal components are blued, while some smaller components are strawed or nitre blued. Matching numbers include the frame, takedown lever, sideplate, trigger, grip safety, barrel, receiver, trigger bar, breechblock, as well as the toggles. CONDITION: Metal components retain large amounts of their factory blue finish, exhibiting scattered areas of wear and thinning that show through to gray and brown patina, mild surface oxidation, and some scattered areas of pitting overall. Strawed components retain fair amounts of their finish, exhibiting wear through to gray, with worn areas exhibiting spots of age-related discoloration. Bore is bright, exhibiting consistent moderate pitting and good rifling throughout. Grips show mild smoothing and some scattered nicks to the diamonds but are otherwise sturdy and serviceable.
