Lot consists of: (A) Picture postcard addressed by Charles Lindbergh as a boy to Master Alex Johnson, signed "Charles" in the message portion. Stamp removed with nice graphic of the Miraflores Locks of the Panama Canal. Somewhat worn, but presentable. (B) August 13, 1953 letter typed by Lindbergh regarding his pleasure of the appearance of stamps that depict his aircraft, the Spirit of St. Louis. Signed by Lindbergh. (C) May 6, 1966 dated letter written to Mr. North Callahan regarding research on Lindbergh's relatives that fought in the Revolutionary War. Signed by Lindbergh at bottom. (D) 1969 speech "An Apparatus for the Pulsating Perfusion of Whole Organs" signed by Lindbergh and addressed to Dr. John K. Lattimer. (E) A blue fabric triangular pennant with white lettering "Welcome Lindbergh" which was used to welcome the aviator after one of his visits with a later photo of Lindbergh with annotation on reverse "Given to Dr. John K. Lattimer by Lindbergh". (F) May 20, 1977 Spirit of Saint Louis dinner program. All pieces are former Dr. John K. Lattimer Collection. Lattimer was a known friend of Lindbergh and collected many pieces related to the famous aviator. The (2) letters and (1) speech come with a James Spence Authentication Full Letter of Authenticity for 3 letters total. The postcard comes with a previous catalog description with information regarding its history. CONDITION: Most paper is in good-very good condition with light blemishes and legible signatures.
