Manufactured 1916. Classic configuration of the 1903 Pocket Hammerless's later variation with triangle-cut cocking serrations, half moon front sight, and round top U-notch rear sight. Magazine safety removed. Near complete coverage engraving of flowing vinework and scrolls with accenting shading and geometrics; bottom of baseplate with wrigglework about the border. Mother of pearl grips. Engraving is signed "ENGRAVED BY BAS" under left grip. CONDITION: Retains nearly all of the reapplied blue finish with some minor marks from handling and storage. Mechanically fine, bore has strong rifling with mild pitting throughout. Grips have no cracks or chips with good fire. Engraving is of good quality and quite attractive.
