Winchester Model 1886 made by Winchester Repeating Arms Company in 1890. Blued 26" octagon Winchester Steel barrel with blade front sight and Lyman rear adjustable sight in the desirable .45-90 caliber. Special order case-hardened receiver with blued full magazine and plain trigger. Plain walnut stock with Winchester crescent steel buttplate. Matching walnut forearm. CONDITION: 95% reapplied blue with light edge and operation wear with brown patina starting to show. 90% vivid reapplied case colors with remaining silvery brown areas with light scratches across the right side. 90% original varnish with some scratches and handling marks and lightly oiled with linseed oil. Good bore with sharp lands and grooves and crisp mechanics. A very appealing rifle.
