Manufactured in 1879. 30" octagon barrel chambered in .44-40 with a full-length magazine tube, 2-line address, and sporting sights. Second model receiver with thumbprint dust cover and single set trigger. Standard 2-piece plain walnut stocks with steel nose cap and tool trap crescent butt plate. CONDITION: Very good. Metal components display a brown patina mixed with some added finish. Stocks have been heavily cleaned, fitting shy to metal, with some impressions still visible. Bore displays visible rifling with some black powder abrasion. Action cycles correctly.
