Silver plate finished 7-shot .22 rimfire self defense pepperbox manufactured from 1868 to 1882. The foliate tendril and line engraved frame's distinctive shape allowed the pistol to double as brass knuckles if need be. Revolver is the later style without safety mechanism. CONDITION: Excellent. The vast majority of the original plating is retained with a few areas thinning to patinaed brass. Revolver functions but does not always index correctly. Matching numbers observed on frame and cylinder.
