DSP. Very scarce C. 1920's Porcelain Service Station Flange Sign for Ventura Motor Oils showing outstanding red, white & blue colors with large "V" graphic. A product of Ventura Refining Company, Los Angeles, California. CONDITION: Side one is overall brilliant and outstanding showing excellent color & gloss throughout the field with no notable chipping. Side one sows only the faintest areas of surface wear with some minimal wear along the outer edge, Grade 9.25+. Side two also shows brilliant color & gloss throughout with no chipping in the inner or outer fields. Side two shows one minor area of spider webbing in the "U" of Ventura but overall excellent. Side two shows a very clean outer edge showing just minimal wear, Grade 9.0+. The flange portion is also in excellent condition showing just minor areas of light chipping at the mounting holes. A brilliant example overall of this very rare flange from Ventura.
