22nd series produced at the Kokura Arsenal. Standard 26" round barrel chambered in 7.7x58mm with protected blade front sight and intact antiaircraft sight graduated to 1500 meters. Mum has been defaced. Full-length lacquered hardwood stock with steel mounts. Right side of stock carved with Pacific locales including "BUNA", "OKiNAWA", "IWO-JiMA", "SiAPAN", "WEWAKA", and "TARAWA", as well as 3 defined kill notches ahead of the barrel band. CONDITION: Fair. Metal has faded to a gray-brown patina throughout. Stock has expected bumps and bruises, the carving remains strong and well-defined. Bright bore. Mechanically fine.
