A very interesting pre-World War I pistol designed by August Schuler, which has 4 superposed barrels chambered in .25 ACP, which ratchet up into position to be fired when the hammer is cocked. This nickel-finished example is marked on the barrel cluster "BREVETE / D.R.P. / 177023" above an Imperial German eagle with crown over "N" commercial nitro proofs. Butt is marked "GERMANY" along with the serial number. Grips are aftermarket 2-piece smooth walnut. CONDITION: Good. The vast majority of the period reapplied nickel finish is retained with some areas of flaking and oxidation. Grips are good with light marks. Bores are dark. Good mechanics.
