Steve Hoel made his first knife in 1953. In 1974, Hoel worked with Bob Loveless and Steve R. Johnson for 3 days, learning about high-end custom knives. In 1978 he joined the Knifemakers Guild and a year later was making knives full time. 3" drop point blade with stainless steel bolsters and ivory grip scales. Grips are scrimshawed with an image of a lion and lioness on left panel and are signed by Gigi. CONDITION: Excellent+, with blade bright, grips showing no major signs of distress, and mechanically fine as blade locks tightly when extended.
