Originally manufactured as a standard 91/30 in 1943 by Izhevsk and imported by PW Arms. This example has been professionally converted by Elite Guns of Austin, Texas into a short barrel Obrez configuration. The original 7.62x54mmR chambered barrel has been shorted to 8" and is fit with a hooded post front sight and 2000 meter graduated tangent rear sight. Lacquered birch stock shortened to fit with a 9 - 1/2" length of pull. The original butt plate has been slimmed to the new contour. Complete with shortened wiping rod. CONDITION: Very good overall. Nearly all of the dull arsenal blue is retained throughout with some light edgewear and scattered marks. Stock likewise has some scattered impressions but is otherwise good. Bore is bright and strong, some abrasion and frosting present in the grooves. Mechanically fine. Front sight is somewhat loose. Matching serial numbers observed on receiver, bolt, butt plate, and and magazine floor plate, the magazine force matched.
