Lot consists of: (A) 1939 pattern, tan-colored, wool/rayon NSDAP visor cap with blue piping. The blue piping indicates the political "Ortsgruppen" (Local-group) level. Fixed to the front of the body is a 1939 pattern gilt-colored eagle with a 1939 pattern oak-leaf wreath beneath. Bullion cord chin strap, attached by pebbled metal buttons. Brown Vulcan fiber visor is complete and in good condition. To the interior of the cap is a brown leather sweatband that has a blow out beneath the visor. Cap is fully lined in gold-colored silk or rayon, with celluloid sweat shield. Reverse of sweatband has a tan oilcloth RZM tag. There is staining to the wool crown, but the hat retains its shape with nice patina to insignia. CONDITION: Good. (B) German SA “Coffee Can” Sturmfuhrer service kepi from SA Group Pomerania or Thuringen. High quality brown tricot wool with apple green trim, black and white cord on the upper edge of the cap. SA eagle emblem exhibits a nice patina and appears to be original to the kepi. Brown leather chinstrap retained by 2 brown painted buttons. No sweatband with brown lining and size stamp ”57" next to the wearer's name. Slightly misshapen with a few holes on underside of visor and scattered light stains. CONDITION: Good.
