Made by Winchester Repeating Arms in 1937. Plain 24" round blued factory Winchester Proof Steel barrel with Winchester 2-line address and marked "MODEL 71" with half length blued tubular magazine. Standard front sight (missing hood) with plugged rear sight and Lyman bolt peep. Blued solid frame with blued loading gate, hammer, and lever and plain trigger. Deluxe configuration checkered walnut stock with blued steel buttplate. Comes with Cody research confirming manufacture. CONDITION: 98% barrel blue. 98% varnish. Small handling marks, and dings overall. Good bore with visible rifling and crisp mechanics. Missing leather sling and swivels.
