Barrel flats with Modern Italian nitro proofs for a 3" 20 gauge with nominal IBD of 15.8 in each barrel. Woodcock Hill importer mark just ahead of forearm lug. Low profile beavertail forearm with Anson style plunger release, point pattern checkering about a central escutcheon with Piotti's device, engraved with an archer on the hunt, probably Diana. Exterior iron with English rose and scroll pattern engraving, interior with serial number. Water table with modern Italian proofs, serial number, Boehler proof, and Piotti Monaco 2 designation. Sidelocks with tightly executed and nicely shaded English pattern rose and scroll with beaded fences. Engravers signature, Zacchi, at trigger guard; Giuseppe Zacchi is the master engraver for Perazzi, and notable guns include the Grand Perazzi with scenes from the 2005 Grand American. Trigger guard with long tang is engraved en suite and has a rolled right edge protecting a single mechanical stippled trigger. Nonautomatic safety with "S" inlaid ahead of slide, golden crown on break open lever. English straight stock of a nicely figured, somewhat smokey, darkly streaked walnut, with diamond grip, checkered in point pattern about the wrist and terminating in a checkered butt; cast slightly off for a right handed shooter. CONDITION: Barrels retain virtually all of their original black with some minor marks from handling and the field, with only the most minute silvering at muzzle. Wood is excellent with some very minor handling marks, commensurate with barrels. Actions are excellent with some superficial marks common to coin finish; engraving is crisp. Mechanically fine, bores are excellent; ejectors are strong and in time.
