DSP. A nice example of this double sided porcelain sign from De Soto Plymouth featuring good color. CONDITION: Side 1 shows good color in the field, with areas of discoloration, which is most visible in the white sections of the field. There are also some light surface scratches in the field, the worst of which are in the center of the "Service" lettering. The outer edges and field of the sign show porcelain chipping, the worst of which is on either end of "Service" as well as around the mounting holes at the top. The left mounting hole has a small area of white touch up, which was likely applied to keep the underlying metal from oxidizing. The outer edges show light chipping and wear throughout (Score 82). Side 2 shows more significant oxidation staining throughout the field, the worst of which is seen in the white lettering and sections. There are a few porcelain chips in the field, as well as, surface abrasions throughout. The mounting holes show wear, porcelain loss, and heavy oxidation. The outer edges show age appropriate wear and damage as well (Score 77).
