Exceptionally desirable Colt Model 614 marked AR-15 with the most classic Vietnam era (1965) features. Immediately noticeable is the lack of forward assist on the right side of the receiver as well as the triangular handguards, rounded butt, "shiny" composition buttstock with moveable sling swivel and early three-prong flash hider. Attractive Colt logo and "AR-15" marking over "MOD. 614" on left side of the magazine well. moveable rear sling swivel, are noticeable to the discerning eye. No magazine present. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish extremely fine to near excellent original finish with only the slightest of handling marks. The action is very smooth. This weapon has been well cared for. Bore is near excellent, shiny and bright. Bolt face near excellent. Mechanics are crisp. This is a select fire machine gun. A very attractive and collectible piece, especially as it is now Curio and Relic eligible.
