Interesting example of a Civil War M1850 officer's sword marked by Horstmann and Solingen on ricasso. Blade is decorated for about half its length with patriotic and foliate motifs. Both motifs and markings are partially obscured. Blade with dark patina. Hilt with mellow patina, grip is missing portions of shagreen, and wire is slightly loose. Complete with scabbard marked with the number "80". Possibly mismatched, but fits. CONDITION: NRA Good.
