This lot is of Frederick Remington's Cowboy, which depicts a horse with three of his legs on the ground. The cowboy rider turns his head over his shoulder to gaze at what is behind him. The rider holds the reigns with both hands as the horse's head bends toward his legs. The cowboy is dressed in traditional cowboy garb with a cowboy hat and bandana around his neck. The horse, in this composition, appears to be a slightly lighter shade of bronze than the body of the cowboy. However, both display high detail in the cast. On the base of the bronze, Frederick Remington's name is engraved with gold lettering. The bronze is on top of a piece of rectangular marble with a gold-colored plaque. Measures approximately 22" tall, 23" wide, and 9" deep. CONDITION: Excellent.
