DSP. A desirable example of this double sided porcelain flange sign from Texaco featuring the iconic logo and wonderful gloss and colors throughout. CONDITION: Side 1 shows good gloss in the field, with some occasional staining and surface scratching. The black background in the bottom section shows slight discoloration, likely from exposure to the sun. The outer edges of the sign shows chipping and wear throughout. The flange section of the sign has five original mounting holes and shows porcelain loss and oxidation throughout (Score 83). Side 2 has great gloss throughout the field. There is one area of porcelain loss in the very center of the field, about the size of a dime. Otherwise, the field remains chip free. There is occasional staining and surface scratching, but nothing distracting. The outer edges of the sign show minor porcelain loss throughout, the worst of which is on the left side along the bent flange edge (Score 84). A desirable and well-displaying example from Texaco.
