DST. Maker Marked "Scioto Signs. Kenton, Ohio. 1983." A well-displaying example of this double sided tin sign from Kendall Motor Oil featuring the hand logo with good color throughout. CONDITION: Side 1 retains good color and shine in the field. There are a number of surface abrasions and crazing in the paint, as well as minor wear and paint loss to the outer borders. The areas around the mounting holes show small wear from the mounting bracket being rubbing the paint (Score 84). Side 2 shows scratches and paint loss, largely confined to the bottom 50% of the sign. The color and gloss still remains nice. The outer edges show minor scuffing and wear consistent with age. The areas around the mounting holes have light wear from the mounting brackets (Score 83). This sign comes with a period bracket that shows age appropriate wear and helps this sign display very nicely.
