Curved single-edged blade with false edge, decorated with graduated engraved half-moon designs with gilt. S-shaped guard terminating in acorn quillons and with relief chased acorn and oak leaf languettes. Ivory grip with checkered section. Pommel with engraved oak leaf and acorn designs on both sides and a replaced chain guard. Scabbard decorated on both sides with acorn and oak leaf designs. CONDITION: Blade very good with some minor frosting. Hilt retains much of its original gilt finish. Grip shows some shrinkage, minor hairline age cracks and one small chip in front of pommel on right side. Scabbard retains most of its gilt finish, one minor bend at opening on right side.
